Every business has a “Why,” and ours is a tortoiseshell beauty named Skid.

Named not for being skittish, but for her legendary acrobatic sprints down the front hallway—launching herself off the front door and “skidding” across the oriental runners—Skid was an amazing member of our family from her first breath to her last. That final kiss on her nose as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge remains the driving force behind this store.
